Coralee has always lived her life with a small remove: her ability to feel other's emotions has kept her guarded and alone. After reeling from the killer's emotional tumult, her friends are concerned and looking to protect – none more than Dade.

His ability to call emotions and reactions with his drums leaves Dade singularly placed to draw the killer forward, but his concerns is only for Coralee.
