The assault begins as a nuclear missile is launched from the waters of the Bermuda Triangle and explodes along a major fault in the Atlantic. It is the first strike by the race known as the Dark Ones in an attempt to bring about a global cataclysm, the likes of which destroyed Atlantis thousands of years ago.
