About This Book

Jack Travers, a Royal Marine sergeant in the SBS (Special Boat Squadron) is first encountered helping his SAS colleagues in an abduction of senior IRA operatives in the republic of Eire. The 'lift' goes disastrously wrong and Jack's life is never again the same. At the same time as he is engaged in this aborted attempt, his younger brother, also serving with the forces in Northern Ireland, is killed by a road-side bomb. Jack, devastated by the sudden loss of his only family, leaves the service and is enticed into the dark world of MI6. The chance of finding the supplier of the explosives that blew up his brother is instrumental in the sergeant's reckoning. Following leads Jack is drawn to the murky environs of Marseilles where he comes across the sinister character Henri Argen. Henri is a vicious gun-running criminal who deals with any, and all terrorist organisations. He is well-known to secret service agencies around the world, although he has been so successful that no description of photograph of him exists. With the help of a French Surete officer, Pierre Rahua, Jack is soon on the trail of his quarry. The pair chase the criminal across Europe, North Africa and Malta in their attempts to bring him to justice. The story is filled with adventure and intrigue and should appeal to all Secret Service afficionado's everywhere.
