Ashes of Amber

Samantha Jensen is a budding young journalist with a secret. At the tender age of five, she is pulled from a life of meager beginnings and catapulted into one of privilege where she believes herself to be a princess. The fairy tale is short lived though when she begins to be haunted by the ghost of another young girl each night when darkness sets in. She believes the birth of her sister will bring a welcome relief to her world of fearful solitude until their heartless mother turns her into the permanent caregiver and rips the family apart. Soon after, the town is ravaged by a series of murders involving many young girls and what is left of her life is destroyed when her sister becomes a victim while she is under Samantha's care. Years later, she will return home, long enough to bury the stepfather who had become her only salvation. Upon her arrival, she will discover the truth about her heritage and hopes the haunting's will begin again so she can find her way onto the twisted path of a merciless killer.
