About This Book

The title comes from a line in Dylan Thomas' poem "Fern Hill." An aptly ironic title for the story of someone who ostensibly had everything, her life might have been considered easy to an outsider. A deeper look tells a different story. Growing up with a madly brilliant father who traverses the globe looking for adventure, his family in tow. A dutiful daughter who follows in his footsteps, struggling to remain sane long enough to master the craft that early on was her destiny. Across the capitols of Europe and Asia she meets fascinating characters and only the sweet mercy of fate keeps her alive.
