The Priesthood rules from a book that promotes the fight for survival in the great arenas. The Thinkers have questioned the priesthood, in silence, for generations. Is it all a lie? Young Priest Thirty-one is entrusted with an Ancient book that is outlawed, but offers hope in a hopeless life. The Fighter Stormer goes against the law and learns the identity of his legal wife and the names of his children. He and his best friend Siege question the book they've been taught from all of their lives. Something more must exist in life. And just what is it that the Priesthood is hiding behind the great archives in the unknown land beyond?
