Investigator Ben Fox must team up with third officer Luana Lee to lead the survivors to safety aboard the starliner's last surviving lifepod. With limited food supplies, their only hope is a forbidden asteroid six weeks away. But first they must confront the saboteur responsible for the starliner's destruction. He has a secret, a secret they must uncover before the lifepod reaches the asteroid. They don't realize it, but their actions will decide the fates of a thousand races on a thousand worlds. Eventually, they must solve the riddle of the ancient planet of Arcadia. This screenplay is intended to be read by film producers, writers' agents and anyone in the movie business who is interested in new ideas, new concepts and promising new talent. It is not generally aimed at the moviegoing public, but lovers of film and the scriptwriting process might find it interesting and perhaps useful. To accompany this screenplay, I have also written a novelization. This, naturally, studies the characters and concepts within the story in greater detail than can generally be achieved within the constraints of a two-hour feature film.
