The answer lies in the past...25 years ago Tim Cameron, the sole heir to his family's fortune, secretly married Daisy Jamison against the wishes of his father, Roy - but was tragically killed within hours of the wedding. The only two witnesses to the marriage also died in a car crash. And the wife of Roy Cameron's hit man, who knew the truth behind both 'accidents', was savagely murdered. Now Daisy's daughter, Kara, is a law graduate. She believes that Roy is responsible for the murders and she wants to see him finally brought to justice. But her investigations become complicated when she falls in love with Jonathan, the Camerons' adopted son. And to add to her difficulties, Jonathan has been put in charge of his father's plans to turn the local hospital into a for-profit organisation: plans which are dividing the town and setting the locals firmly against Roy Cameron and all he stands for.
