In sleepy little Martinsboro, North Carolina, murder mysteries are about as rare as snowballs in July. So when resident health club hunk Manly Richards turns up dead, the town tongues begin to wag, and all fingers pont to Angel Larue, the married muscleman's latest gal on the side.

Of course, housewife and part-time reporter Barbara Upchurch knows her sister is no killer -- even if Angel's taste in men does leave something to be desired. But convincing the local police of Angel's innocence will take some doing. Meanwhile, the real culprit is still out there, making sure Barbara's snooping days are numbered!
