Mary Davis, a young woman shunned and called a deformed freak, is told by her only true friend about a house for sale in a distant secluded town. He assures her that a better life awaits her there. Compelled by the town's beauty and the kindness of its people, Mary doesn't hesitate buying the house. It isn't long before a handsome man comes into her life. She is terrified he will reject her if he finds out about her deformity, but he is determined to win her heart.
