About This Book

A contemporary and completely fictional story of a young man whose normal workweek is interrupted by an assignment from his employer: He will be interviewing a guest by the name of Mr. Jesus Christ. Aside from some basic talking points, no guidelines are provided. The young man, Greg, suspecting this to be some sort of a hoax, hopes he can discharge his assignment professionally and return to his ordinary routine as soon as possible. His guest, on the other hand, has a different plan in mind. He is a man with a mission Greg is exceedingly skeptical at first, even somewhat hostile. During the course of the interview, he passes rapidly through stages of fear, anger, bewilderment, resignation, and finally a cautious acceptance. Meanwhile, his guest turns out to be friendly, intelligent, focused, and quite ready to step out onto the world stage. Feeling called to respond in some fashion, Greg initiates a plan to "help" his new friend with his mission. The plan, of course, is simplistic and quite naive. (Or is it?) Once Jesus observes that his young friend is in earnest, he takes him in charge and leads him through a "hands-on" training program where genuine progress is made in their mission. A lively and sometimes amusing look into the thoughts of a young man seeking reasonable answers to life's perplexing questions, as he encounters Someone who is operating on an entirely different and very exciting level."
