An Inquisition of Angels

Almost three years of peace have left the Taliaferro sisters to live without fear, raising their small children, living their lives in the calm, warm summers of the Shenandoah Valley. But far away from them, in Florida, a man who believes he speaks to God is "testing" angels and releasing them from their mortal forms, a man hiding in plain sight, a man looking for the angel with whom he can ascend to Heaven. When Mary follows her husband to a criminology conference in Florida, the man who believes that God speaks directly to him thinks he has found his final angel - Mary.
