American Exceptionalism

In a highly controversial book and college course, an American professor dares to challenge the common belief in “American Exceptionalism” and that the United States is a paragon among nations. He is kidnapped by a right-wing, arch-patriot group and sentenced to die. His fraternal twin brother who has just overcome his criminal past to be elected to Congress seeks to rescue him at the risk of wrecking his significant new role. “American Exceptionalism” examines their dramatic careers as their lives reflect the explosive strains of the national concept staunchly held by many and resolutely denied by others. The conflicts they face lead to a final lethal resolution.
