Always Remember

Ruby Anderson and her two daughters want to keep the family farm going during the Civil War without taking sides or getting involved. Rose, the oldest daughter is engaged to Leroy Van Houghton, but Leroy enlisted in the Confederate Army. Josey, her younger sister, is madly in love with Leroy and waiting for the day when he would see her as a grown woman. In between Union soldiers riding through their yard, to deserters, and Jayhawkers swarming their land, it was a struggle to stay alive—a struggle they intended to win, no matter the consequences.
