Fiona Norris's job on the Orthopedic Unit at St. Catherine's Hospital was coming along very nicely, now that she was acting sister, and with a steady flow of challenging cases to care for. But here was a private side to Fiona's life as well, that had not been without its difficulties as she had struggled almost single-handed to bring up her little son Dominic. No, to her horror, the two sides of her life were on a collision course, with the arrival of the new surgical registrar Paul Sheldon, who she had not seen for seven years and who had no idea that Dominic existed.
