Annie Houston has a lot to celebrate this Christmas. Her bookstore is thriving, and she owns the coziest house in town. Still, something is missing from her life, until suddenly her single ex-husband comes back for the holidays with his young stepsons in tow. Why shouldn't Annie invite the whole brood to stay at her place?

Maybe because the happy household makes her pine for what might have been. Josh thought leaving Annie was the biggest mistake he ever made, but agreeing to her impulsive invitation was even worse.
