Alpha-II

It's been twenty years since the conclusion of the great galactic wars. A ranger is sent from the victorious New Worlds Confederacy on a routine mission to assess the residual radiation on Alpha-II, once the playground of the well-to-do. He finds the lush forests and exquisite beaches intact, the rest of the planet uninhabited by anything more than tree toads and weird mutated marine life.

Or is it? Who are these childlike adults he finds living like primitives in the jungle? How could they have survived the wars' deadly radioactivity?

One of them, a beautiful twenty-something with the mentality of a three-year-old, is the ranger's key to solving the riddle. But can he survive the menaces, human and natural, of this deadly jewel of a planet long enough to unravel its deep mystery?
