Alone

Max quickly sat upright. Full of chaos, he patted himself down. He was whole. He then scrambled backwards as he saw where he was. It was unnaturally dark. Infinite blackness stretched as far as he could see. The only peace from the all-consuming dark was the old, moss covered walls made of cobblestone or steel.

The time is finally here. Max’s quest is almost complete. Or so he thought.

The plan seemed easy enough: go to Upton, get the book, defeat The Wizard; but Max soon learns there are many more dangers lurking within the shining city.
