Two weeks ago Timothy Stone awoke from suspended animation to find a changed world. He never imagined how his life would have changed along with it. While focused on taking care of his father, who has Alzheimer's, and the young squatter named Lily he found in his parents' home, Tim searches for a way to awaken his mother and the rest of the population of Hillsboro, Oregon before time or the power runs out. In Part 2 of the "Awake" short story series, Tim enlists the help of his friends George and Godfrey Bjorge and the three set out to find answers in the neighboring town of Aloha but what they find only leaves them with more questions.
