Terribly written, this has a certain goofy charm and unintended humor. Flashy and hostile punker Amy, who underneath the glitter and black mesh stockings is really lonely and vulnerable, is stranded at a stodgy Boston college, dreaming that her London punk-rocker boyfriend Binny Airplane will swing through on his concert tour and take her back to the good old days, when they lived together. Unfortunately, she has to rely on freckle-faced preppy Craig Baldwin for rescue, and then they fall in love. . . . Characters have better wardrobes than motivations, and subplots whiz by too fast for comfort, but the pace is brisk, and Amy, while obnoxious, has a distinctive voice. Drugs, sex and rock-n-roll, slickly packaged.
