To Ian, being a nice boy is a curse. Ian is nothing like his best friend, Lance, who always gets the girls. And Danielle, the girl he met online this summer, is nothing like the girls Ian knows, who think he's just a nice boy who should be their friend instead of boyfriend.

Ian has plans to change things, though. The weekend before starting his senior year of high school, Ian is set to take off from Chicago for a weekend in Charleston, South Carolina to meet Danielle. His friends Felicia and Lance pile with Ian into his Granny's Oldsmobile and start off down the road. It's a long drive - nine hundred and thirty-five miles across six states - but to Ian, it's worth it. At the other end of this road trip might be something he's been waiting for, something that he's been thinking about roughly every eleven seconds since puberty hit - sex.
