New York City TV news producer Whitney Sheridan lives on a diet of caffeine, antacids, junk food, and stress--and she wouldn't have it any other way. Her work is demanding, but it's also a cocoon of security that means she never has to count on anyone else. And then comes word that her last remaining relative, her beloved Aunt Claudia, has died, leaving Whitney to settle her estate in Washita, Texas. Whitney intends to perform her duties and return to New York as quickly as possible, closing the door on memories of the warm, happy childhood summers she spent with Aunt Claudia.
