About This Book

All of us are different from each other; even identical twins are not exactly the same. Being different is a good thing. How terrible it would be if each one of us were exactly the same as everyone else. These differences are usually accepted – IF they fit into what is considered "normal." But what about those whose "differences" set them apart in ways not considered normal. Davy is a boy who is considered too "different." Although he LOOKS the same as other boys his age; he is not. Every time he tries to speak he reveals just how different he is. Davy stutters. His stuttering has created a wall between himself and his classmates, his teachers, and even his parents. Worse, he has allowed his stuttering to keep him from doing what he wants to do and being who he wants to be. In his own eyes he is a failure. He no longer believes in himself. He has lost all hope that anything will ever change. Then a new boy moves into town and Davy's life will never be the same again.
