A group of friends rebuild their lives in the years that follow the Second World War - the sequel to THE DANDELION CLOCK It is 1949, and Norah Moffatt is embarking for Australia, perhaps to stay. After all the hardship and suffering of the war years, Norah - like her friends Cathy Webster and Andrew Mount - knows that life in England will never be the same again. At first the lure of the Australian Outback captivates Norah, as she makes new friends and finds a job as a District Nurse. As the years pass, however, she finds that she misses her old friends, especially Cathy - now a happily-married wife and mother - and eventually circumstances conspire to call her home...
