Affliction

Twenty years have passed since vampires were exposed, and Immortal Task Forces all over the country have tracked them and eliminated the threat to society. But a vampire serial killer begins terrorizing the city of Miami, and the Task Force has no leads. Lucas Wright is the son of the Captain, and has just learned his cancer has returned. He's accepted his diagnoses, but after he performs a miraculous act, he realizes he may be more connected to the vampire world than he's willing to accept. When the killer attacks someone close to him, he beings to wonder if the real enemies are vampires or the ones who hunt them.
