Admirable Admiral

Her car breaking down was in inconvenience she hadn't needed. It would have given her an excuse not to attend this holiday party. Yet, Ensign Holly Brown realized it had turned out to be a nice evening. She'd been surprised when her commanding officer, Admiral Jackson Lewis, offered her a ride so she could attend. Just as it had been nice of him to insist on taking her home from work that day after her car had left her stranded in the naval yard parking lot. He was a handsome man, though she knew she probably shouldn't notice that. It wasn't something she usually did. She usually shied away from male attention. Not that he was giving her any special attention. He was merely being nice. Or, was he?
