Wedding planner Shelby Featherstone had found the perfect shop for her new business, but A.J. Court, the owner of Spanish Court Mall wouldn't rent it to her. Never one to hesitate, she tracked him down at lunch only to discover it wasn't a business lunch as she'd thought, but a romantic table set for two. Before she knew it, he had thrust an engagement ring on her finger and insisted she play along.

A.J. knew his motives for this charade were pure and he should have felt guilty for dragging Shelby into it, but the more he saw of her, the more he wondered if he'd put the ring on the right girl's finger, after all.
