Across The River

During the French Indian War in the 1700's with the help of the French, Candice's home, near Philadelphia, was raided by the Lenape Indians (known as the Delaware Indians to some). Using true historical accounts of what happened to victims when the Indians raided homesteads during that time period, Candice's story is told in vivid detail as she struggles with her fate when Wolf, a Lenape Indian, takes her and her younger cousin, Jamie, as his captives. Her only hope is to find a way to escape, but even if she does, she fears she can never escape the memory of Wolf. How can she keep the part he played in her life from haunting her forever?
