      When a good friend of Doc Banner's is murdered by an unknown assailant in Show Low, Arizona, the gunfighter sets out to find the killer. He is joined by a territorial marshal named Carl Head. The two of them begin to investigate and are soon faced with more murders. The only thing the victims had in common was the fact that several years earlier they had been participants in a poker game that had seen a man they caught cheating murdered. As the list of suspects grows so does the danger to the investigators.
