From hospital ward sister to sanatorium sister at Ditchingham House Prep School was drastic change, but having spent two years trying to come to terms with widowhood, Ruth Silke needed something different.
Working with Dr. Daniel Gather, the local GP who covered the school, wasn't so easy, particularly when he seemed all too matter of fact about his young son, Danny, a boarder at the school. Ruth was convinced that Danny's accidents were a cry for help, but how to persuade Dan? Particularly when their own relationship left so much to be desired!
