A wagon train winding through the remote reaches of the Rocky Mountain high country can attract plenty of scavengers—some of them human. With a hundred and fifty women added to the entourage, it might look like easy pickins—or so Vic Bedell and his gang of cutthroats believed. Bedell needed supplies to keep his secret gold mine workin', and the women could be used or traded or killed as he saw fit. But Bedell didn't count on Preacher leadin' that wagon train, and he made his first mistake leavin' Preacher for dead...which sure wasn't the same as him. His next mistake was never figgerin' Preacher'd try to rescue the ladies and lead them out of captivity through fifteen hundred miles of unforgivin' territory and hostile Indians.
