Sunny Whitman left her old life behind after the man she thought she loved betrayed her trust. She left Erie, PA with a car full of belongs, her giant dog Shep, and shattered dreams.

Deputy Josh Able is working on rebuilding his dilapidated family ranch. He's not sure why, but he's drawn to Sunny and finds himself offering her a place to stay. Soon he can't imagine the ranch without Sunny. More than that, he can't imagine his life without her in it.
