Melanie Quinn is going back to her childhood home, home to the bucolic Harvest Lake where the wild iris grow. She envisions three months of lazy summer days and long peaceful nights.

But that isn't what Aunt Reba has in mind for her niece. As soon as Melanie arrives, Aunt Reba is secretly playing matchmaker, pairing Melanie with the local D.A., Erik Channing, volunteering her for charity work...and just when Melanie thinks it can't get any worse, her stepsister descends upon her in a whirlwind.
