In pursuit of her dream to view grizzly bears in the wild, the daughter of the Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court is escorted into a remote area of northwest Yellowstone National Park by Beth Richardson, Associate Superintendent of Yellowstone. When the unexpected happens, former university president Parker Williams, owner of the Gold Medal Fly-Fishing Shop in West Yellowstone, Montana, is reluctantly drawn into a search and rescue mission which increasingly seems hopeless.
