About This Book

A TWISTED WORLD opens with "Hunting," A flash fiction piece following two hunters, Denna and Seb, who were hired to kill a wolf that had been culling a farmer's cattle herd. It turns out there is something far stranger happening than a hungry wolf preying on the cows.In "The Junkie's Reward" we are brought to an urban setting, and we learn the dismal misery of Kethra Mornside, as she hears the truth about what happened to her daughter. The setting becomes less familiar in "Gnarl" as we read about a traveler in barren wastelands outside a walled city. He hitches a ride on a train into the city but, unbeknownst to the passengers, their lives and those in the city are in grave danger. The collection ends with the short story "Vox" which centers on a detective in a futuristic society with hyper-advanced technology. His world is dying, and it is his job to discover what lengths some will go to, to try and halt the extinction of their entire race.
