Tomasina Walden avoided cops - especially ones that looked like Detective Brogue Donovan. In Tomasina's opinion, loving a man in a uniform wasn't worth the risk. So why did she have an irrepressible desire to see Brogue out of uniform?

When Tomasina heard he planned to move in next door, she told him the old house was haunted! Rather than scare Brogue off, her ghost story seemed to bring out his protective instincts...toward her.

Tomasina began to wonder if there was some truth to her tall tale when things really started to go bump in the night. And suddenly she was very glad to have a true blue knight close at hand!
