A Time of War

Desperate for a way out of war, President Johnson appoints Bradley Marshall, a seasoned diplomat and veteran of two wars as his Special Ambassador to Vietnam. Marshall's mission is to bring back the critical information LBJ needs to override Gen. Westmoreland and his advisors and begin withdrawing American troops. But the CIA senior agent at the U.S. Embassy in Saigon thinks the president has made a huge blunder; he sees Marshall as an extremely dangerous man. And he has found an unwitting pawn in a war-scarred Marine fresh from the blood and death of Quang Tri province. Now, in the midst of one of the century's most horrific battles, another clandestine war is taking shape. One that can catastrophic consequences for Vietnam -- and America.
