A Strange Enchantment

Sixteen-year-old Prim becomes a farm laborer during World War II in England and finds the life very agreeable and fulfilling.

Prim becomes a Land Girl working on a Shropshire farm in War time. In spite of the hard life and the dreary war outlook she encounters, Prim also finds her heart lifting as she bottle feeds young lambs, nestles against the warm flank of the cows as she milks it and sees the comforting progression of the seasons over the English countryside.
