A Special Challenge

Taking the job of nurse counselor on the children's neurology ward at St. Matthew's Hospital was a new venture of Sister Penny Anderson, a challenge she felt she would enjoy, despite the inevitable trauma and sadness involved with the seriously ill children. Then she discovered that the consultant, neuro-surgeon Nicholas Adams, had opposed the new posting; he wanted another badly needed regular nurse. Nicholas was utterly dedicated, but Penny saw the lonely man beneath, and, as she began to prove her worth on the ward, they drew closer together. But could either of them find the courage to reach out for happiness?
