A Soldier's Love

Bill had been captured and sustained life threatening injuries. Rescued and flown back to a hospital in England, Bill spent weeks recovering from his physical injuries. The army had concerns about his mental state of health and could not let him resume his duties, or even stay in the army. Discharged from the hospital he stayed at his parent's home. It was during his two week's leave that he met Sandra. Despite being a sergeant, with men under his command, Sandra made him feel safe and secure. Encouraged by her, he talked to the military and in an explosion of emotion revealed the details of that fateful mission.
