After spurning Pharaoh's advances, Ammena begins life in the slave camp with the Hebrews, a group she has been taught to hate. In spite of her prejudice against them, she falls in love with Daniel, a Hebrew she has always been attracted to, but one she has always made it a point to disdain. When her father and brothers, Pharaoh's magicians, are also condemned by Pharaoh for failing to defeat Moses, the Hebrew leader, Ammena turns to Daniel and to Moses himself for help. Through her experiences with the Hebrews and their God, and the challenges she encounters, Ammena finds her true identity, not only as a woman and a wife, but also as a warrior. She then completed a Master of Fine Arts Degree in Creative Writing and Publishing at Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. After a long career in public school education, Cris retired and now looks forward to helping people through her books.
