If Rob Davies hadn't made a split decision to try and save his Jewish friend from the wrath of the Third Reich things might have turned out very differently. A Second in Time takes the reader on an emotional roller-coaster as it races from the hot dusty plains and brutality of the Spanish Civil War through the horrors and mass genocide of the Second World War to the cold indifference of the Gulags of Russia. An ‘eternal triangle' with a difference it tells the story of Rob, Anna and Felcia whose lives are turned upside down by war and its aftermath, but whose eventual happiness is shaped by the same events that tried to destroy them.
