On a failing spaceship, finding home was their only hope. Reese kept his mouth shut as Captain Brant bullied their pilot Jaiden. So much rested on this mission to their new world's surface. Probes only told you so much. Some things needed boots on ground. If they could actually touch the ground. If they could survive the descent. Or the planet itself. Vic would've laughed and calmed Captain Brant down. He would've bounced in his forever-empty seat, chattering excitedly. That would never happen again. Vic would never see their new home or help them figure out where, exactly, their colony would set up their new home.
