A Murder on Pearl Street

That summer day in 1845, Cassidy Porter, the owner of gambling dens, brothels, and illegal drinking establishments, whistled gaily, a man on top of the world. Until two bullets from a six barrel, pepperbox revolver put a bloody end to him.

Tasked with the investigation, Sergeant Kilmurray and Patrolman Hamon of the newly-formed New York City Municipal Police must develop clues where none exist. Their inquiry leads them to the infamous Old Brewery tenement house in the heart of the notorious Five Points, where a murder a day is not uncommon. Will they find what they’re after?
