A Long Way to Go

Sixteen-year-old Julie Thompson has a colorful past. After suffering years of abuse at the hands of men in positions of authority, she ends up in Horizons, a therapeutic boarding school. Though Julie's over a thousand miles from home, in a secluded town in Washington State, she realizes this is her chance to start over. Jon Scott is a moody 16-year-old with a quick-trigger temper and his own sordid past, which got him a one-way ticket to Horizons as well. Somehow Jon and Julie, along with the rest of their schoolmates, must learn to trust and help each other, while helping themselves heal and move on with their lives.
