A Long Time Coming

Against a background of vicious prejudice, Christie Allard finds herself town between the town she loves and her off-and-on romance with a young newspaperman. His seeming dislike her together with their mutual concern over the plight of the Mexican-American migrant workers force an association which leads to mutual respect and, in time, love. Tension and ill-feeling toward the migrants combined with Christie's personal problems result in a confused and explosive atmosphere which all young people will recognize.
