Although business is looking up at Horsefeathers Stable, Scoop has made improvements that will raise property values—and taxes. Will she have enough money to cover the new costs?

As she worries about the future of Horsefeathers, she has an unexpected encounter with Benson Thayer, owner of a skittish Appaloosa named Diablo. If she can help Diablo, he won't have to go to auction. Can she help the horse and save it from the auction block?
