In the field of dog training, no two experts think alike. And between trainers who are stubborn as bulldogs and others who primp like poodles, polite discourse simply doesn't have a chance. Little wonder that a convention of famous trainers at a posh New York hotel degenerates into a catfight. Unfortunately, the bickering turns deadly.

P.I. Rachel Alexander, herself a former trainer, was hired to keep things under control at the conference. Now three men are dead, all having engaged in romantic dalliances at the hotel.
