A Gypsy in Berlin

The second installment of The Berlin Trilogy finds book critic Thomas Rost with Hitler's girlfriend, Eva Braun, at an old Gypsy fortuneteller's in Potsdam. There Thomas interrupts an attempt on the life of his young Gypsy friend, Ingrid, and the story becomes a wild ride through wartime Berlin, taking up where Into the Night and Fog left off. Dodging bullets, bombs and a dangerous woman who resembles Marlene Dietrich, Thomas must come up with a plan that fends off the unrelenting and, sometimes, conflicting demands of Germany' s top Nazis regarding the mystery of the death of the Fuehrer's first love.In order to save Ingrid and maintain a clear conscience, Thomas must act quickly and decisively.
