A Game of Love

Four weeks ago, Deidre Bird was just one of many struggling young actresses trying to find work in Hollywood; today, her jet- black hair and bright blue eyes are known to millions. As hostess of the nationally televised Ho Ho Game Show, Deidre has become a star virtually overnight. A lot of women would die for a job like hers—and for the chance to be near Sean Squires, Ho Ho's gorgeous host. But Deidre couldn't be more miserable!

For starters, everyone on the set seems to hate her, and she can't figure out why. Sean in particular seems to have it in for her. How could anybody that good-looking be so nasty? she wonders. But is it really hate at first sight? Or something else? Deidre may never have a chance to find out. She finds herself pitted against superstar actress Shelly More in the battle for Sean's affections, and a spiteful Hollywood gossip columnist adds fuel to the fire. To top it off, Ho Ho's ratings are sinking, and the show's director wants Deidre fired.

So much for the glamorous life!
